Important: This application is only for those on pre-payment meters, if you are on a credit meter you will need to contact your supplier.

Please note: This service is available to residents in Blackburn with Darwin, Chorley, South Ribble, West Lancashire and Wyre. If you live in another part of Lancashire or England, please contact your local Citizens Advice.

This scheme only allows 3 vouchers to be issued in a 12 month period. If you have already had 3 fuel vouchers from any agency we will not be able to assist you. 

 You should contact your supplier directly and seek assistance from them. 

 If you are at immediate risk of disconnection please contact our Consumer Service helpline on 0808 223 1133.

 If you have energy debts, we would recommend you contact the Debt helpline on 0800 2404420.

To speed up the application process please ensure you fully complete all fields and provide the evidence we ask for. Fields marked with an ‘*’ are required.

We pass your details to an external provider (Auriga) and if they approve it, will issue the voucher code to you.

    Citizens Advice LogoDue to the volume of applications being received, if you have run out or due to run out of credit, you must contact your energy supplier for emergency credit.

    Auriga, who issue the voucher codes, will only issue a maximum of 3 vouchers to a household in a 12 month period, regardless of which organisation makes the referral. They do not issue codes at weekends or bank holidays, the voucher codes are issued by text message or email and can take up to 24 hours from Auriga receiving the referral from ourselves. Important: You will need a top-up card or key to use the voucher code. If you don't have one, please contact your supplier immediately to arrange for one to be sent to you.

    We require the following evidence to support your application.

    The information you provide will be shared with the following organisations as appropriate

    • A copy of your most recent benefits or utility letter showing the full letter with your name and address and the date, in focus
    • Your account numbers for both your gas and electricity accounts
    • Pictures of your gas and electricity meters, showing the full meter, in focus, the serial numbers AND the current balance in the display - NOT the In-Home Display unit screen

    Please be aware that all applications are dealt with in the order received and due to the high volumes, it could take a few days for us to process and send the applications to Auriga for their approval. Incomplete applications will delay your application as we will need to contact you for further information or evidence.
