Most people will have seen or heard adverts about the Census which is taking place on 21st March 2021, but what is it and what do you need to do?
The census is a survey that happens every 10 years and gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales.
The next census takes place on Sunday 21 March 2021 and ALL households have a legal obligation to take part.
You should soon be receiving a letter from the ONS (Office for National Statistics) asking you to take part.
Further information about how your data will be used is available at www.census.gov.uk
This census will be the first to be conducted online and this in itself may prove to be a challenge for some as we recognise that not everybody is comfortable with completing online forms or may have reservations about sharing personal information online.
Citizens Advice Lancashire West have three authorised Support Centres, covering Chorley, West Lancashire and Wyre.
We are able to offer a FREE, confidential and secure service to help people complete their Census online.
If you, or somebody you know needs our help to complete the form, please ring to book an appointment.
